Wheatley park school
This new highly sustainable building comprises eight general purpose teaching rooms, two linked media studies rooms and miscellaneous support facilities. The building is formed around a street which expands to form a flexible social and mixed use space near the entrance to the building.
Designed to a BREEAM ‘excellent’ rating, this was the first building in Oxfordshire to be entirely heated by ground source heating and incorporates other sustainable measures including rainwater harvesting, passive stack ventilation and a green roof.
